Primary Duties:

• Build, test, and deploy responsive Marketing Cloud emails using HTML, CSS, and AMPscript to support marketing campaigns and customer lifecycle journeys.
• Work with Data Extensions, data relationships, and subscriber segmentation to ensure accurate audience targeting and personalization.
• Create and optimize automations using Automation Studio (SQL queries, scheduled sends, file imports, data refreshes).
• Configure and maintain Journey Builder flows, including entry criteria, decision splits, personalization, and multi-step automations.
• Collaborate with marketing teams, designers, project managers, and stakeholders to translate campaign requirements into high-quality technical solutions within Marketing Cloud.
• Perform QA testing, inbox rendering checks, data validation, and send-log monitoring to ensure accurate email performance and deliverability.
• Use AMPscript and personalization strings to dynamically customize email content based on subscriber attributes and behavior.
• Analyze campaign performance using Email Studio tracking, Journey Builder analytics, and Salesforce reporting to recommend data-driven improvements.
• Maintain documentation for email builds, journeys, workflows, and automation processes to support team knowledge and repeatability.
• Adhere to CAN-SPAM compliance, deliverability best practices, and platform governance standards when deploying campaigns.

Primary Duties:

• Developed responsive, accessible HTML emails for large-scale customer communications, optimizing for cross-client rendering (Litmus/Email on Acid) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud deliverability best practices.
• Built and updated campaigns inside Salesforce Marketing Cloud, leveraging Content Builder, Email Studio, Data Extensions, dynamic content, and QA workflows to support enterprise-wide communication initiatives.
• Collaborated with marketing teams, UX designers, copywriters, and project managers to translate business requirements into polished, high-performing email assets and customer journeys.
• Created reusable UI components for the company’s design system using JavaScript, Angular, React, and TypeScript, contributing to a scalable front-end architecture used across internal applications.
• Partnered with Salesforce developers and data teams to ensure accurate audience segmentation, data mapping, and personalization logic across email campaigns.
• Maintained documentation, coding standards, and version control workflows using Bitbucket and Jira to support agile development processes and efficient team collaboration.
• Participated in regression testing, design reviews, and performance optimization efforts to improve email rendering consistency and system reliability across digital touchpoints.

Primary Duties:

• Code and maintain all Banyan customer emails, working closely with the creative team to execute a shared vision for each campaign.
• Update and maintain on-site content including banners, CMS blocks, educational material, blog articles, images, and product listings.
• Work with the Content Team to ensure the best customer experience possible when browsing Banyan content, whether on Banyanbotanicals.com or Banyan’s Amazon store.
• Update content across the site as requested, including photo and graphic placement, updating photography, implementing copy and formatting edits, and minor improvements to mobile responsiveness.
• Update page layouts and live-text banner creation (using HTML and CSS) on a monthly or as-needed basis.
• Format all new content on site (HTML) using the Content Management System.
• Work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer to execute creative on-site.
• Make recommendations for content optimizations and UX enhancements.

Email Creation:

• Transform email design and creative into a fully functional and optimized email using established HTML and brand styles.
• Code, update, and maintain email campaigns for retail and professional channels.
• Assist in the setup of new email sequences, including testing, setting up automations, and maintenance of a healthy subscriber list.

Ecommerce Site Maintenance:

• Update, create, and maintain shopping pages across website as requested.
• Coordinate promotional messaging updates on-site in alignment with promotional calendar.
• Occasional proofing on product pages to ensure accuracy and optimal user experience.
• Make recommendations for UI and UX improvements to shopping experience.

Amazon Content:

• Submit content updates to Amazon, including images, copy, and A+ content, following up on rejections and disputes when necessary.
• Support the maintenance of Amazon Store creative and shopping pages as needed.

I founded Transcending Waves in January 2017, where I created my first product, the Transcending Waves Planner — a daily goal journal designed using principles from positive psychology to promote productivity, gratitude, and overall well-being.

While building the brand, I developed responsive HTML email campaigns from scratch to support marketing automation and customer engagement initiatives. This hands-on experience gave me early exposure to email marketing platforms and CRM tools, including Salesforce, Shopify, Klaviyo, and Mailchimp, and laid the foundation for my career in email and marketing technology.

I grew Transcending Waves into a six-figure business by implementing and optimizing multi-channel marketing strategies, including email marketing, affiliate marketing, influencer partnerships, paid and organic social media, SEO, retail distribution, and Amazon FBA. I successfully sold the business in August 2019 to pursue a full-time career in web and email development.

Through this experience, I discovered my passion for web development and email engineering. I consistently found myself focused on optimizing website performance, UX, and conversion flows, and realized I wanted direct ownership over the technical execution rather than relying on third-party developers. This realization ultimately led me to specialize in HTML email development and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, where I now focus on building scalable, high-quality customer communications.
